UK born indie-pop singer Emile is no stranger to the music world. Starting at a young age, he was surrounded by his dad’s vast record collection and was gifted his grandfather’s old guitar. Since then, he has written his own songs and collaborating with various bands, even having the opportunity to travel with a pop-punk band around Europe for a year, before delving into his solo project. His first song being “More Now” which was released on Friday, December 13th.
“More Now”, is a beautifully crafted track, delving into the difficulties that come with a broken love. With lines such as “why try to fix us when there’s nothing left to mend” really bringing in the message that Emile is portraying. The song has a soothing electronic beat that allows the listener to sit back and truly enjoy Emile’s mellow vocals.
The visuals for the track were breathtaking as well. The simplicity of the music video allows for the viewer to take in the message of the song itself. What I love about the video are the color palette and how delicately the dancers move around. The dancers themselves are always seemingly connected. With each touch or glance in each other’s direction, they can’t seem to break away from one another.
This song was a truly incredible first track. I can’t wait to hear what else Emile comes up with! You can listen to the song here
