Canadian based band Carmanah have just released a brand new album titles Iris. Along with it comes their passionate rendition of “Bang Bang” which gives a nod to the Cher and Sonny Bono original but is strongly influenced by Nancy Sinatra’s version. After playing the cover live for a while, the band decided to record their version for their new album.
The song starts off with the soft sounds of piano followed by the mellow vocals from vocalist Laura Mina Mitic that just catch your attention straight away. The track then turns into a soulful charm with its deep instruments and backing vocals that give the track a different vibe that listeners will love. The vocals are a definite highlight in this track as they become so powerful and engaging, you feel as if you never want to listen to anything else ever again. The lead and backup vocals work so well together and creates this meaningful experience that is flawless.
Definitely one of the best covers of this song with its wonderful use of instruments and powerful vocals that have you hooked instantly but if that doesn’t win you over then the amazing tone of the violin in this track will because it just completes everything and makes this sound flawless.
