Filler’s latest single, “Pocket Change”, is the type of song that will put you in a good mood no matter what. Starting with a playful guitar riff, the track quickly shifts to a slight 80s alternative vibe as the drums, vocals, and a synthesizer are introduced in the first verse.
The entire atmosphere of the song is completely altered once the chorus kicks in. Their experimentation with trumpets, which haven’t been used on their previous works, gives the sound an overall brighter feel.
The Ohio-based band made their debut at the Cleveland Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame High School Rock-Off in 2018 and qualified for finals. Since then, the band has amassed a devoted fan base, have released a seven-track album, and garnered over 30,000 streams on their previous single, “Piece of You”, in the first two months of its release.
Filler is currently hard at work creating their Sophomore album. After listening to this incredible track, I can’t wait to see what the band has in store!
