Showcasing artists going against the norm

A Warm Welcome to The Greeting Committee

The Greeting Committee received a warm welcome from their fans last Saturday night in the city of brotherly love.  A sold-out World Cafe Live was ready to make a memorable night for this Kansas City indie rock trio. Consisting of members Addie Sartino (lead vocals), Brandon Yangmi (guitar), and Pierce Turcotte (bass).  The group is hot on the heels of their 2021 album, Dandelion. The show served as my introduction to The Greeting Committee and the indie rock scene.

What were my thoughts after the show?

I can now say I’m a fan of The Greeting Committee!  Addie’s stage presence makes it hard not to enjoy the show with her vivacity as she interacts with the crowd. In return the crowd sang along to every song except for the one they knew to be quiet for.  On top of everything else, there was a marriage proposal where the soon to be bride said yes.  I look forward to seeing The Greeting Committee live again.

You can catch The Greeting Committee on their remaining tour dates:

Mar 03 – DENVER, CO

Apr 09 – KANSAS CITY, MO
