Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City, UT is quickly becoming the most anticipated indie festival in the country. With its 2025 lineup consisting of Beach House, Weezer, Suki Waterhouse, and DEVO, many online wondered, “could they ever top this?” I believe they have.
2026’s lineup consists of heavy hitting headliners like Lorde, Hayley Williams, and the XX. Lorde’s Greek Theater set in Berkeley, CA left the Bay Area in awe. Purposefully choosing the beautiful outdoor venue instead of an arena, the atmosphere and performance itself were a magical experience. One that many people who attended inside or danced around the perimeter of the Greek still reminisce about.

Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore and an icon in her own right, released her sophomore album earlier this year to raving reviews. Nominated for a GRAMMY and selling out her headline tour in seconds, next year is projected to be a busy one for the artist. The XX are making their comeback at Coachella this coming April. A group that I adored in my Tumblr days, the members have had their individual successes over the years. Jamie XX recently performed at Outside Lands to one of the largest crowds on the last night of the festival. Oliver Sims released his deeply personal debut in 2022. Romy also released her debut album “Mid Air” in 2023.
It will be difficult narrowing down who I’d want to see at Kilby Block Party. Jane Remover and Newdad are in the top five. I’m also excited to see Bristol Maroney again after watching his Shabang set in 2025. Having Lucy Dacus, Father John Misty, Japanese Breakfast, and Magdalena Bay in one space is a dream come true. And let’s not forget Punk and Alternative Rock darlings Turnstile and Flipturn.

We’ll see you in the pit!
