Showcasing artists going against the norm

January 14, 2021 Nina Chiang

A New Form Of Pop Is Found In Jules Brave’s If You Ever Left Me

Jules Brave is giving pop music a new take for 2021 with ‘If You Ever Left Me’. This piano ballad is about believing in your own inner-iconicness. This is the artist’s first single debut after garnering a vast following on Instagram and TikTok. Her goal was to someday write songs for the artists she had always looked up to. After a long period of self-reflection and the encouragement of GRAMMY-award winning popstar Meghan Trainor, she decided to put herself out there with her own voice.

The song is sultry, through and through. With the piano melody in the beginning, it sets the tone for the entire piece. Her vocals soothe you with her message. She sings about the symptoms of heartbreak, while the enthusiastic pop-driven bass line warms you. Listen to the heartfelt lyrics that will empower you. You’ll get major throwback R&B vibes with this one. Her musical influences include Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Ariana Grande, and Dua Lipa.

With an ever-growing following, there is no doubt that Jules is an artist to look out for. The 22-year-old singer/songwriter can be spotted strutting her stuff in New York City drinking a Frappuccino and rocking Beats headphones. During this self-isolating time, Jules uses Instagram to spread awareness of her brand. She interacts with her fans that become friends and is eager to start her journey as an early 2000s pop/R&B singer. Stream this single for those sad days or when you just want to sing out loud.
