KATSEYE Bring Beautiful Chaos to a Sold-Out Second Night in San Francisco

KATSEYE brought their Beautiful Chaos Tour to San Francisco for two nights, filling Bill Graham Civic Auditorium from front to back. Formed through the global reality competition Dream Academy, the six members, Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Megan, Yoonchae, and Manon, have only been officially active since 2024, but their show already moves with the confidence of a seasoned act. The completely sold-out crowd packed into Bill Graham long before showtime, buzzing with the kind of excitement that makes a room feel charged. For a group with such genuinely global roots, you could feel that reflected in the audience: diverse, loud, and wildly proud to be witnessing them this early.

Despite the sleek polish they’ve built on the road, the show still carried that fresh, early-era thrill. They opened with the dramatic recorded intro “CHAOTIC” before launching straight into “Debut,” which hit especially hard in a live setting, a clever choice that felt like a nod to both where they came from and how far they’ve come since. From there, the set never lost momentum. Their catalog is still young, but they’ve built enough stylistic range that the show never feels one-note, jumping between energetic, choreography-heavy tracks and softer, more melodic moments. Songs like “Gnarly” brought a hyperpop bite, while “Gabriela” added a fresh, rhythmic contrast that the crowd loved – both songs have gone viral for them. Midway through the show, during a talking segment, the girls broke into the quick, cheeky “Milkshake” dance (the one that went viral from their Gap ad) and the crowd instantly recognized it, screaming as if they’d just performed a full choreographed stage. When they performed “Internet Girl,” even though it isn’t officially released, the entire venue already knew every word – proof of how catchy the song is. Katseye kept their set on the shorter side, but they filled every minute with spectacle: bursts of confetti, cascading streamers, moving stage elements, and lighting sequences that made the entire room feel alive.

Because it was Yoonchae’s 18th birthday, the night had an extra emotional glow. The members paused everything for a long, heartfelt celebration where each girl shared a message for her, and Yoonchae, the youngest, teared up and turned away from the cameras for a moment. When she faced the crowd again, she immediately snapped back into idol mode, posing and serving face, which somehow made the moment even sweeter and funnier. Earlier in the set, when they performed “Timelapse,” their song from the soundtrack of the Korean drama Good Boy, she mentioned how happy she was to sing in Korean on stage, and the cheers that followed made it clear the audience felt that pride with her.

The encore sealed everything perfectly. They returned to the stage with “Touch,” the viral breakthrough track that first pushed them into the mainstream and still lands with the force of a signature hit. They closed with “My Way,” sending the room out on a high, confetti still drifting through the air as fans refused to stop cheering. By the end of the set, it was obvious KATSEYE is quickly becoming a group built for much bigger venues. Bill Graham was packed wall to wall, and you could feel the hunger for more – more songs, more space, more time with them. But there was something special about seeing them in a venue like this while we still could. Their Beautiful Chaos Tour stop in San Francisco proved they’re already performing like a group with years under their belts, and at the same time, you could feel the thrill of a career that’s at the start of the curve of an exponential upward trajectory.
