Seeing the band you grew up on perform right in front of you is a dream come true. For myself and the thousands of people within the Oakland Arena, that dream became a reality.
On October 5th, I had the incredible honor of witnessing the band that is My Chemical Romance performing their heart out on stage. I remember my friend frantically opening tabs to get our hands on the tickets that were selling quickly. When we were almost out of hope, the page refreshed. And in we were, purchasing pit tickets as fast as we could. We got them just before the ticket prices skyrocketed.
All we had to do was wait until the end of the year to finally see the band that made our teenage years. The only problem was that this was 2 years ago, at the beginning of 2020.
The wait was well worth it.
