Sizzy Rocket brings all the chill summer night vibes with her dreamy new single, “Rollerskating.” Unlike her more recent heavy-hitting releases, “THAT BITCH” and “Smells Like Sex”, this new one treats you to a softer side of Sizzy.
The track carries a catchy bassline accompanying Sizzy’s sweet vocals and lyrics. Raw and untempered, you can easily feel the giddy and anxious emotions of love. You’ll want to sway your shoulders and smile to this one. Imagine yourself actually rollerskating along Venice Beach to this. It’s cheerful and just what summer ordered. She inspired this by her own love story with her current partner. You know that euphoric feeling in the beginning of a new relationship and the roller coaster of a journey it becomes? This love anthem is a tribute to that gliding feeling through it all. This is a sun-soaked indie-pop production about finding vulnerability.

In 2016, Sizzy released her debut album, THRILLS, with the viral sensation and album lead single, “Bestie.” Her works have received praise from New York Magazine, PAPER, and BUSTLE. She continues to grow her fanbase daily, thanks to her mixtapes Hot Summer (2017), and sophomore album, GRRRL (2019). She’s even written for Noah Cyrus, Bea Miller, and the rest of the cool girls of pop. No one is a better addition to the genre than she is.
We love Sizzy because she is the best friend you never knew you needed. She answers fan mail, designs and packages her own merch, and books her own tours. She is hard at work with building her own independent record label and her brand. With her, she goes beyond what it means to be a pop artist in 2020. Her DIY approach, openly queer and unapologetic lyricism, and her genre-blending musicality showcase her diversity with punk, rock, pop and beyond.
