Witch Prophet has recently released a brand new video for her track “Tesfay” which came off her album DNA Addiction released back in March. The inspiration came from the memory of the artist’s grandfather who was a single father and raised 5 daughters in Ethiopia and pushed his daughters towards empowerment. The video was directed by Leah Vlemmiks, who is a Toronto-based filmmaker and photographer, did a perfect job of really capturing the essence of the track.
The camera work, production and colour of this video are mind blowing, that in itself makes the track very engaging. The way that it captures empowerment through dance is mesmerising and you can’t take your eyes off this stunning 4 minute video as it transcends you and accompanies the track perfectly. It’s a feel good track that combines jazz with R&B and will have listeners falling in love with it from first listen.
If you haven’t heard of this artist, do yourself a huge favour and watch the music video as it throws out upbeat vibes while being visually stunning and capturing the essence of the song flawlessly. After watching the video, I have straight away become a fan of this amazing sound and look forward to seeing what this artist does in the future.
