Showcasing artists going against the norm

Tobias Dray Releases “I Don’t Mind” Ahead of His Debut EP

Paris-born producer/composer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Tobias Dray combines electronic music, indie pop, and indie R&B in his latest single ‘I Don’t Mind’. It features the vocals of Ben Chandler and has a lo-fi chill vibe. This is the perfect song to end summer with and introduce fall to.

The song contains guitar riffs and his sultry vocals that marinate in an airy ambience. It is a quick song but the strumming patterns make the mood. If sunsets on the beach had a soundtrack, this would be one of the featured tracks. Tobias is preparing for his debut EP release of DAYDREAMER via Nettwerk Records. He offers a 4-song compilation that showcases the storytelling of 2020. Make no mistake that this year has been a difficult one, but we can get therapy through music.

Since quarantine has made collaboration with vocalists impossible, he actually sourced his through Spotify. A unique and creative way to take on a challenge, Tobias reached out to Abel., Ben Chandler, Knightly, and POLYDRIVE with personalized messages. Complimenting thor music, he asked for their permission in collaborating together. The result? A collection of well-balanced, organic songs with electronic elements that best reflect Tobias’ collection of obscure hip-hop and jazz vinyl.

Below is the tracklist for his Daydream EP with this single being one of the four tracks.

Track List:

  1. Baddest (feat. Abel.)
  2. I Don’t Mind (feat. Ben Chandler)
  3. Sunsets (feat. Knightly)
  4. We’ll Be Beautiful (feat. POLYDRIVE)

Enjoy listening to the first of a few more to come from the Parisian native!
