Olivia Rodrigo held her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival, on August 29th, 2026 at Great Park in Irvine, California with a crowd of 45,000 plus. The festival fulfilled a lifetime goal of Rodrigos, to create a musical space to inspire young girls while also supporting women’s causes. She themed the festival around daisies because, “Daisies are wild and beautiful. As a chain, they are strong and unbreakable.”
Daisy Chain Fields Festival, inspired by Lilith Fair, was a music festival founded on the belief that joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change. The festival sought to ensure girls and youth have access to information, support, and people they may not have known how to find by including opportunities for education, dialogue, and engagement around issues affecting women and girls in the United States and globally with partnerships and on-site resources.
With $10 million raised, and $10 million doubled by philanthropist Melinda French Gates, Daisy Chain Fields raised a total of $20 million to be donated to 10 non-profit organizations including, Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women’s Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
The festival’s lineup featured Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Devon Again, Die Spitz, Doechii, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not For Radio, Olivia Rodrigo, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and The Breeders, along with special guests Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and surprise guest Alanis Morissette.
Chappell Roan performed songs, “HOT TO GO!” and “Good Luck, Babe!” on the Dandelion Stage, but when the chorus of “Pink Pony Club” hit, the fans took over filling the whole stadium!
Olivia Rodrigo performed “drop dead”, “good 4 u”, “drivers license”, “deja vu”, and “bad idea right?” exclaiming “This feels like a dream… this is the best fucking day of my life!” During “drivers license” the crowd took over for the chorus, causing a small mistake, which fans called a cute hiccup.

When asked “what inspires you about Daisy Chain Fields” a fan stated “the fact that it’s all women, I think that that’s really powerful”
Threads user Jonerz stated “Daisy Chain Fields is what happen when women organize, the parking lot is what happens when men”
Though the festival itself was described as an amazing event by many, there were lots of complaints about bad traffic management. Fans stated that there was only one exit, user maria_likes_pizzza, on instagram stated “absolutely horrendous traffic control. I saw so many girls walking miles trying to find a way to meet their parents. Police were not kind, and any staff available didn’t know what was going on. Such a beautiful festival, but the parking was horrible. Such a great lineup, so fun, but extremely unacceptable traffic control” another instagram user, eatitkatie stated, “We were stuck in the parking lot for 3 hours and parking was $100. Great festival until it was time to leave.”
The festival closed with special guests Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, and Stevie Nicks. When Stevie Nicks emerged for the final song, the crowd broke into a chant and watched in awe as the duo performed Fleetwood Mac’s hit “Landslide” together.
With the massive success of Daisy Chain Fields, we can plan to see another one next year, with Rodrigo stating she has hope for it to be an annual event!
